Punjab University’s Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FCIT) has made an outstanding mark at the ICPC’24 National Level Competition, clinching five of the twelve available medals and showcasing exceptional talent in competitive programming.
Among the top-performing teams, Purple Hat (Azib Gondal, Asad Nazir, Umair Hassan), Rumbling (Atta-e-Mustafa Tahir, Faiq Ali, Huzaifa Riaz), and Data Pirates (Soban Anjum, Muhammad Ahnaf, Abdul Rehman Amer Baig) each earned silver medals.
Additionally, Data Strugglers (Ali Khan, Talha Rashid, Mohammad Ibraheem Qureshi) and CTZNs (Haider Sultan, Qateef Ahmad, Hafiz Muhammad Ahmad) secured bronze medals, further adding to the institution’s remarkable success.
Professor Dr. Kamran Malik, head of FCIT, praised both students and faculty for their dedication and perseverance. He highlighted the importance of such competitions in honing problem-solving abilities and programming skills.
