ISLAMABAD: England opener Ben Duckett set a new record in ICC Champions Trophy history, scoring the highest individual total during a Group B clash against Australia at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday.
Duckett blazed 165 off 142 balls, surpassing former New Zealand star Nathan Astle’s previous record, which was also the first instance of a batter scoring 150 in the tournament’s history, according to the ICC.
His explosive innings included 17 boundaries and three sixes before he was dismissed by Marnus Labuschagne in the 48th over.
