ISLAMABADA: In response to the recent boat tragedies in Libya and Greece that claimed the lives of several Pakistanis, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has stepped up airport security, acting on the prime minister’s directives.
Officials reveal that profiling is now underway for young men from cities in Punjab, particularly Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, and Gujranwala.
For the first time, individuals lacking valid travel plans or justifications for their visit visas will be offloaded. Those suspected of attempting to disappear abroad or illegally enter Europe will also face offloading, as authorities focus on curbing human trafficking and illegal migration.
