ISLAMABAD: In a moment that fans have been eagerly awaiting, Pakistani actors Kubra Khan and Gohar Rasheed have officially tied the knot. The couple, known for their incredible on-screen chemistry, got married in the holy city of Makkah on February 12.
The joyful announcement was made via a joint Instagram post featuring pictures taken in front of the Holy Kaaba at the Grand Mosque, after performing Umrah. The couple shared a heartfelt caption: “Under the Kursi of Allah… 70 thousand angels as witnesses and Rehmat pouring down on us like rain… Qubool hai,” expressing their emotions in the sacred setting.
One photo captured their hands resting on the Holy Kaaba, while another showed the two gazing lovingly at each other with the Kaaba in the background, radiating happiness.
The decision to marry in such an intimate and holy place has been widely praised by fans, especially given the simplicity of the ceremony. In contrast to the often grandiose celebrity weddings, Kubra and Gohar’s understated Nikah, set against the backdrop of the Kaaba, made the event even more special.
Speculation about their relationship had been circulating for some time. The buzz intensified when Gohar revealed on a show with colleague Ushna Shah that he was “not single,” sparking rumors of their wedding. However, it wasn’t until late January that the couple officially confirmed their engagement through a playful Instagram video that quickly went viral.
