A family in Karachi has made a startling claim, alleging that they are blood relatives of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
The story was brought to light in a video report by a private TV channel, featuring an elderly man known as ‘Bari Mamu,’ who shared the family’s purported historical connection to the Indian megastar.
According to Bari Mamu, his family lived in Indore before the 1947 partition, alongside Salman Khan’s ancestors. He explained that while his family migrated to Pakistan after independence, Salman Khan’s relatives stayed in India due to their influential positions in the state police. Bari Mamu also claimed that Salman Khan’s great-grandfather had married their paternal aunt, cementing the familial link.
Bari Mamu further shared that he had visited India twice since the 1980s, staying at Salman Khan’s residence during his trips. He also revealed that Salman Khan and his brothers Arbaaz and Sohail Khan had visited Karachi in the 1980s during their youth. According to the claim, Arbaaz Khan was involved in a motorcycle accident during the visit and ended up staying in Karachi for three months.
The family’s story, including anecdotes of Salman Khan shopping for jeans at Karachi’s Lighthouse market, has gone viral on social media. While some users find the story amusing, others have questioned its authenticity, leading to a heated debate online.
Regardless of its truth, the family’s claims have sparked renewed curiosity about Salman Khan’s roots and family history, igniting widespread discussions across borders.
