A significant smuggling attempt was thwarted at Karachi’s airport when the Airports Security Force (ASF) intercepted a passenger attempting to smuggle heroin on a flight to Jeddah.
During a routine inspection of luggage, ASF officials uncovered over 1 kilogram of heroin hidden inside the passenger’s belongings. The estimated street value of the seized drugs exceeds Rs. 12 million.
The suspect has been arrested, and authorities are now conducting further investigations to explore any potential connections to larger drug trafficking operations.
The ASF has reaffirmed its dedication to safeguarding airport security and ensuring the safety of passengers by remaining alert to illegal activities.
