Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has responded to concerns regarding reduced gas supply to domestic consumers, directing authorities to ensure a consistent and uninterrupted supply.
During a review meeting, the Prime Minister called for urgent reforms to the system to address the issue on a long-term basis. He emphasized that providing reliable gas to domestic consumers remains a top priority for the government.
In a separate development, PM Shehbaz recently announced the formation of a negotiation committee, comprising members of the ruling coalition, to address proposals related to the National Assembly. This decision followed a request from PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar for the National Assembly speaker to facilitate dialogue. The committee includes key figures from the government and coalition parties, such as Senator Ishaq Dar, Rana Sanaullah, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Naveed Qamar, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Abdul Aleem Khan, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and Sardar Khalid Magsi.
Additionally, PM Shehbaz recently vowed to intensify efforts against human traffickers. The Prime Minister expressed his dismay over the recent tragedy linked to human trafficking, and stated that strict action would be taken against FIA officers found involved in smuggling activities. “There has been negligence following the recent tragedy related to human trafficking,” the Prime Minister said, urging authorities to expedite investigations and submit concrete proposals.
