TV actor and morning show host Amna Malik has shed light on the darker aspects of the media industry, revealing why she would never allow her daughters to pursue a career in showbiz.
In a candid interview, Amna Malik shared her reservations about the industry, drawing from her own experiences.
“Although I’ve been an actor for most of my life, I would never want my daughters to join showbiz,” Malik stated. “In this industry, no one becomes a star overnight. They have to endure struggles like inappropriate messages, calls, harassment, or the way people treat newcomers. I cannot accept anyone speaking to or looking at my daughters in that way.”
The actor went on to share personal experiences, adding, “I won’t name anyone, but I have received calls from people who weren’t interested in offering work but wanted to hang out or grab coffee. I’ve had to set boundaries, telling them, ‘I don’t do coffees; let’s keep this professional.’ Why should I have coffee with them?”
Malik expressed her concern for the safety and dignity of her children, emphasizing that she would never want them to face such challenges.
The Mayi Ri star, who shares two daughters with her husband, has often spoken openly about her journey in the industry, including her transition from being a schoolteacher to an actor.
