ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has scheduled a hearing for appeals challenging the decision that nullified civilian trials in military courts.
A constitutional bench, headed by Justice Aminuddin Khan, will take up the matter on December 9.
The six-member bench includes Justices Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Hassan Azhar Rizvi, Musarrat Hilali, and Naeem Akhtar Afghan.
Previously, the Supreme Court ruled that trying civilians in military courts was unconstitutional. Following this decision, the federal and provincial governments, along with the Ministry of Defence, filed intra-court appeals.
The court subsequently suspended its earlier ruling pending the outcome of these appeals.
