The International Cricket Council (ICC) has scheduled an emergency board meeting for November 26 (Tuesday) to resolve the ongoing stalemate regarding the Champions Trophy, which is set to be held in Pakistan next year.
According to Indian media reports on Friday, representatives from Pakistan, India, and other member countries will attend the meeting virtually. The primary agenda of the meeting will be to address concerns surrounding the tournament’s scheduling and India’s refusal to travel to Pakistan for the prestigious event.
In related news, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently appointed Sumair Ahmad Syed as the Tournament Director for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. PCB Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi praised Syed’s organizational skills and extensive administrative experience, expressing confidence that he would ensure a successful and memorable Champions Trophy for players, officials, and fans alike.
