PM Shehbaz Condemns Terrorist Attack in Kalat, Stresses Cowardly Acts Won’t Shake Nation’s Resolve

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the “terrorist attack” in Kalat on Saturday, asserting that such cowardly acts would not weaken the nation’s determination.

In a statement on X, the Prime Minister extended his “heartfelt condolences to the grieving families” and pledged swift action against those responsible for the attack.

“Such cowardly acts cannot deter our resolve. Together with our nation and security forces, we will eradicate this menace,” the Prime Minister said.

Details of the Kalat attack remain scarce, with authorities yet to release any official information about casualties.

Over the past year, Pakistan—especially in the provinces of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa—has seen a rise in terrorism-related incidents. On November 9, a suicide bombing at Quetta Railway Station killed at least 26 people and injured 62. On September 26, a bomb blast targeting a police vehicle in Quetta left at least two policemen and several others injured.

In response to growing security concerns, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority announced the suspension of mobile internet services in some parts of Balochistan to “ensure public safety.”
