Chief Minister and Corps Commander Participate in Jirga in Khuzdar

Local Leaders Show Confidence in Government and Armed Forces’ Support for Peace Initiatives

A jirga (tribal council) took place in Khuzdar, Balochistan, attended by Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, the Corps Commander of Balochistan, local elders, civil and military officials, women, and community members. The event focused on addressing pressing regional issues and fostering dialogue among various societal representatives.

During the gathering, Chief Minister Bugti reaffirmed the government’s commitment to education by announcing scholarships for local and international students, as well as interest-free loans for educated unemployed youth to promote entrepreneurship.

He stressed that any disruptions to peace and development in Balochistan would not be tolerated, condemning recent attacks on unarmed laborers and emphasizing the state’s dedication to supporting the oppressed while firmly addressing those who challenge its authority.

Local tribal leaders expressed their gratitude to law enforcement agencies and the Chief Minister for their peacekeeping efforts. They acknowledged the vital role of security forces in establishing stability and committed to collaborating with all institutions to ensure a peaceful environment.

The jirga concluded with local elders expressing their trust in the cooperation between the government and armed forces, reaffirming their commitment to work together for a better future.
