Donkey Removed from Bigg Boss 18 After PETA’s Allegations

The presence of a donkey on Bigg Boss 18 sparked considerable criticism, leading PETA to file a complaint against the show’s producers. Viewers raised ethical concerns about the treatment of the animal, prompting PETA’s intervention. An official statement on social media confirmed the decision to remove the donkey from the show.

In a detailed letter addressed to Bigg Boss host Salman Khan, PETA expressed its concerns about the donkey’s treatment. They claimed that Gadharaj was kept confined in a stable and subjected to distressing conditions, including excessive noise and bright lights that caused him fear.

PETA appealed to Salman Khan’s compassion, urging him to prioritize animal welfare and remove all animals from the show’s environment. The organization highlighted the health and habitat issues affecting the donkey and called for a ban on using animals in future seasons of the show.

Their letter underscored the ethical implications of using animals for entertainment, particularly in high-stress environments like reality television. This appeal coincided with growing public scrutiny regarding Gadharaj’s treatment, ultimately resulting in the donkey’s removal from the Bigg Boss house amidst significant backlash.
