The PTI political committee has announced a protest at D-Chowk on October 15

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) political committee has announced plans for a protest at D-Chowk in Islamabad on October 15, following an emergency meeting that did not include Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

PTI Secretary of Information Sheikh Waqas Akram confirmed the large-scale protest in a statement, noting that all organizational heads, from the central committee to regional levels, have been directed to prepare for the demonstration.

As part of the preparations for the peaceful protest at D-Chowk, the party has canceled previously planned protests across Punjab, which will be rescheduled.

The PTI political committee criticized the “illegitimate rulers,” whom they accuse of undermining the people’s mandate and violating the Constitution. They also expressed concern for PTI founder Imran Khan, currently imprisoned in Adiala Jail, alleging that he is facing a new wave of brutality.

The statement further claimed that Imran Khan’s life, health, and safety are being deliberately compromised, as he has had all his fundamental and human rights revoked.
