Dr. Zakir Naik arrives in Pakistan

Renowned Islamic preacher Dr. Zakir Naik has arrived in Islamabad for a 15-day tour, which commenced on Monday.

He landed at Islamabad International Airport, where he was greeted by officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, including Syed Dr. Atta ur Rehman. Rana Mashood and Parliamentary Secretary for Religious Affairs Shamsher Ali Mazari were also present to welcome him.

The tour will take Dr. Naik to three major cities: Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, running from October 5 to October 20. His first stop will be in Karachi, where he plans to address the fundamental question of “the purpose of our life” at Bagh-e-Quaid, directly across from the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

On the following day, Dr. Fariq Naik, his son and a fellow Islamic scholar, will present a lecture focused on the importance of understanding the Quran, titled “Kya Quran ko Samajh kar Parhna Zaroori Hai” (Is it necessary to understand the Quran while reading?).

While the dates for lectures in Lahore (October 12 and 13) and Islamabad (October 19 and 20) have been confirmed, the specific topics and venues are still under wraps, generating significant anticipation among his followers.

Dr. Naik’s return to Pakistan marks a significant moment after a period of self-imposed exile following controversies in India.

He currently resides in Malaysia, where he continues to engage with global audiences through his lectures. The tour will also feature Dr. Fariq Naik, who will accompany his father, fostering dialogue and sharing insights on various Islamic topics across the three cities.

Together, the father-son duo aims to engage with audiences and deepen their understanding of Islam.
