Hassan Nasrallah’s final message before his death

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah’s social media account on X shared his last message before he was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut.

In his post, he stated, “I may not stay among you for a long time. Procedures have been devised so that we are prepared.”

Hezbollah confirmed on Saturday that Nasrallah had died, pledging to continue the struggle against Israel.

Israeli officials announced that they had targeted and killed the Hezbollah leader in an airstrike on Beirut’s southern suburbs, marking a significant blow to the group amid an escalating campaign of Israeli attacks.

The airstrike on Dahiyeh shook the city, with a local security source reporting that the assault involved a series of powerful blasts, leaving a crater at least 20 meters deep.

Following the attack, thousands of residents fled the area, seeking refuge in squares, parks, and along the seafront in downtown Beirut.

In a reflection on the past, Nasrallah recalled the killing of former Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Abbas Mussawi in 1992, stating, “They sought to kill our spirit of resistance. But his blood will continue to simmer in our veins, strengthening our determination and intensifying our enthusiasm to pursue his path.”

In his final address to followers, Nasrallah emphasized resilience, declaring, “Even if we are all martyred, even if our homes are destroyed over our heads, we will never abandon the option of Islamic resistance.”

This unwavering commitment underscores the enduring spirit of Hezbollah, even in the face of significant adversity.

As the group mourns the loss of its leader, the call for resistance against Israel remains strong, setting the stage for continued tensions in the region.
