Pakistan Army inaugurates the Al-Buraq E-Business Center in Okara Cantonment

The initiative seeks to equip military families with digital skills and promote entrepreneurship opportunities.

The Pakistan Army, in partnership with the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), has launched the Al-Buraq E-Business Center in Okara Cantonment. This initiative is part of a larger effort to harness information technology for national development and address inflation.

Since its opening on January 24, the center has guided 140 students, each earning up to $3,000 through e-learning and e-business skills. Former participants have successfully launched over 15 companies, which are now being linked with national and international businesses for further growth.

This project aligns with the Army Chief’s vision of empowering military families in the digital space. By providing digital skills, the initiative aims to create pathways for economic prosperity and foster a culture of innovation and self-reliance.

This development reflects the Pakistan Army’s comprehensive strategy to tackle both internal and external challenges while contributing to various sectors of national growth. The military has identified information technology as a crucial area for progress, particularly in combating inflation.

The collaboration between the Pakistan Army and SIFC is leading to significant advancements in the IT sector and beyond, showcasing the military’s commitment to the welfare and future opportunities for youth and students, extending its focus beyond traditional defense roles.
