Alkhidmat Foundation Unveils MedCon 2024 at Premier Health Conference at Lahore Expo Center

Professor Latif Highlights “MedCon 2024” as a Source of Inspiration and Hope for the Next Generation

The Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, in partnership with the Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA), will host “MedCon 2024” on September 7 at the Expo Center in Lahore.

The event is set to tackle the challenges facing Pakistan’s healthcare system, propose strategic solutions, and honor top medical students from across Punjab.

During a press conference at Alkhidmat Foundation’s central office, key organizers including Professor Dr. Muhammad Zahid Latif, Chairman of Alkhidmat Foundation Health Services; CEO Sufyan Ahmed Khan; Secretary General of Alkhidmat Foundation Lahore Region Professor Dr. Ijaz Nazeer; and Senior Manager of Media Relations Shoaib Hashmi, shared details about “MedCon 2024.”

Professor Latif explained that the conference will feature sessions with distinguished speakers addressing various aspects of the healthcare system. Hafiz Naeem-Ur-Rehman, Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, will discuss the healthcare system’s challenges and the importance of fostering a supportive environment for youth. Key topics will also include digital health and the situation in Gaza. Professor Dr. Hafiz Rahman, President of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, will address the humanitarian crisis, current issues, and the roles of Alkhidmat and PIMA in Gaza, along with future plans.

The conference will include vice chancellors from universities across Punjab, medical faculty, and over 1,000 students. Top-performing students will be awarded medals, certificates, and other honors. The event will also feature lectures from eminent doctors and health professionals on professional skills, medical ethics, and guidelines. A delegation from the World Health Organization (WHO) will also be present.

Professor Latif emphasized that “MedCon 2024” aims to inspire and instill hope in the next generation of medical professionals through its unique program.
