LAHORE: An 18-year-old boy tragically lost his life in Lahore on Thursday evening after allegedly accidentally shooting himself while playing the popular mobile game PUBG.
The incident has once again underscored the potential dangers of handling firearms, especially in the context of gaming.
According to local police, Yahya Khurshid, a resident of the Nawab Town area of Lahore, was an avid PUBG player. Preliminary investigations suggest that Yahya brought his father’s pistol into his room. While deeply absorbed in the game, the gun reportedly discharged accidentally, leading to a fatal injury.
Police officials have collected evidence from the scene and are conducting a thorough investigation to understand the exact circumstances of the incident. They are exploring all possibilities to determine how the accident occurred and whether any external factors played a role.
Yahya Khurshid’s body has been taken to the Jinnah Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination, which will help establish the exact cause of death and assist in the ongoing investigation.
