PTI has completed the allocation of reserved seats for women

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has finalized a list of nominees for 14 special seats for women from Punjab, marking a significant step in their parliamentary representation strategy.

The list includes prominent figures such as Kanwal Shauzab, Rubina Shaheen, Seemabiyah Tahir, Farkhunda Kokab, and Aaliya Hamza, among others. Kanwal Shauzab, President of PTI’s Women’s Wing, stands out as a notable inclusion in the roster of nominees.

Former Member of the National Assembly Aaliya Hamza and General Secretary of the Women’s Wing, Rubina Shaheen, are also under consideration for these reserved seats. Other notable names in the list are Seemabiyah Tahir, former President of North Punjab, Farkhunda Kokab, interim President of Punjab, Shahnaz Tariq, General Secretary of Punjab, Dr. Misbah Zafar, Rubiya Jameel, and Rehana Dar.

Khadija Shah and Dr. Nosheen Hamid have been nominated from Punjab for specific seats in the National Assembly. The list also includes former women presidents from Rawalpindi, Farah Agha and Firdous Rehana.

Rabia Cheema, wife of former Punjab Governor Umar Cheema, has also been nominated for a specific seat in the National Assembly.

The final approval of this list rests with the founder chairman of PTI, ensuring alignment with the party’s strategic goals and commitment to diverse representation in Pakistan’s legislative bodies. This initiative underscores PTI’s efforts to empower women in politics and enhance their role in shaping the country’s governance and policy-making.
