Representatives from 7 countries presented their diplomatic credentials to president

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Zardari emphasized Pakistan’s vast investment potential during a ceremony at Aiwan-i-Sadr where envoys from seven countries presented their diplomatic credentials.

The ambassadors who presented their credentials included Titus Mehliswa Jonathan Abu-Basutu from Zimbabwe, Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir from Tajikistan, Harerimana Fatou from Rwanda, Sebastian Sayus from Argentina, Wunna Han from Myanmar, Sok Chea from Cambodia, and Dr Batlang Comma Serema from Botswana.

President Zardari underscored Pakistan’s investment-friendly environment and encouraged foreign nations to explore opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, livestock, information technology, energy, and mining. He expressed Pakistan’s keen interest in expanding cooperation across various domains, particularly in trade, investment, and culture.

Highlighting the significance of economic ties, President Zardari called for enhanced collaboration to maximize trade volumes and strengthen economic relations with friendly countries. He congratulated the newly appointed ambassadors and expressed confidence in their role in fostering mutually beneficial cooperation.

Earlier, the envoys received a guard of honor from a contingent of the armed forces upon their arrival.
