Ex-AJK PM’s Sons Arrested in Islamabad Amid Major Crackdown

Major Crackdown

Nine individuals, including three sons of former Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, have been arrested by the Islamabad police on serious charges of threatening a citizen. The arrests followed a formal complaint lodged at the Margalla police station.

According to a spokesperson for the Islamabad police, the suspects have been accused of threatening a citizen with severe consequences.

The incident that led to the complaint involved the suspects allegedly obstructing the complainant’s path, physically assaulting him, and issuing grave threats.

This complaint prompted swift action by the police, resulting in the apprehension of the nine individuals involved.

During the operation, the police seized five vehicles belonging to the suspects. These vehicles were equipped with police lights, which raised further concerns regarding the suspects’ intentions and the legitimacy of their actions.

Among the nine people arrested were four drivers, indicating the operation’s thoroughness in targeting all individuals involved in the incident.

Moreover, the police discovered a substantial cache of arms and ammunition in possession of the arrested individuals.

This significant recovery underscores the potential threat posed by the suspects and the seriousness of the charges against them.

The presence of such weaponry in civilian hands, particularly in the context of this case, adds to the gravity of the situation and highlights the need for stringent law enforcement measures.

The spokesperson for the Islamabad police also addressed and denied circulating reports regarding the arrest of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas himself.

This clarification aimed to dispel any rumors and ensure that accurate information is disseminated to the public.

This incident underscores the critical role of the police in maintaining public safety and the rule of law.

The swift response to the complaint and the subsequent arrests demonstrate the authorities’ commitment to addressing threats and unlawful activities, regardless of the individuals’ social or political stature.

The arrest of the former AJK prime minister’s sons and their associates serves as a reminder that the law applies equally to all citizens and that any form of intimidation or violence will not be tolerated.

As the investigation progresses, further details are expected to emerge, shedding more light on the circumstances surrounding the incident and the full extent of the suspects’ actions.

For now, the Islamabad police remain vigilant and dedicated to ensuring justice is served and public trust in law enforcement is upheld.
