Extra security Announced By US for Pak vs India Match on June 9

According to US media sources, Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman has announced increased security for the India vs. Pakistan match at the T20 World Cup 2024 in response to threats from an ISIS-linked group.

The game, which is scheduled for June 9 at the Nassau County Cricket International Stadium, has been classified as a high-risk event. The USA and the West Indies are co-hosting the T20 World Cup for the first time ever with this historic occasion.

In order to guarantee the safety of guests, Blakeman promised that the Nassau County Police Department, in addition to several other organisations like the FBI, Customs and Border Patrol, and New York State Police, will be on high alert.

The goal of this massive security operation, according to Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder, is to make the stadium the safest location in the county on the day of the game.

India and Pakistan are in the same group as Ireland, the United States, and Canada. Pakistan will play two of their four group matches in the city of New York, while India will play three of theirs there.
