Drug trafficking is the most severe threat to the life of the young generation and the charge sheet has been extended to the IG Sindh by the opposition candidate Adil Haleem in Sindh provincial assembly.

“Many families are badly suffering and falling apart due to the drug trafficking.” He purported that the hashish, heroin, opium, ice, gutka, mainpuri and other narcotics stuff are being traded with liberty in the province”.

Moreover, He supposed that trafficking in many cities of Sindh has been become fashionable in connivance with the police who rake in millions of rupees bribe every month. He referred to the operation of the Anti-Narcotics Force in Mirpurkhas district during which narcotics worth around Rs1.71 billion was found at the residence of police inspector Kunwar Singh on March 23.

“He pointed out that moonshine liquor, which is toxic raw liquor is also being openly sold in the cities of Sindh in collusion with the police. The opposition leader proposed that a district-based task force also comprising of well-known civil society representatives should be formed to steer the police action against the drug trafficking”.
