According to an Indian media outlet, a video shared on X by a user named Sanjay Lazar quickly gained viral attention.
The footage depicted a man, purportedly an airline staff member, disembarking from an Airbus A320 through the passenger door while facing away. Simultaneously, another staff member was observed in the video retracting the step ladder used for disembarkation.
Upon exiting the plane, the staff member fell uncontrollably to the ground, with documents seen flying from his hands. The individual who posted the video asserted that the incident took place in Indonesia and involved an employee of Transnusa Airlines.
No official statement has been issued by Indonesian authorities or airline officials regarding the incident, and the date of the occurrence remains undisclosed.
In February of this year, a Canadian tourist reportedly opened the door of a Thai Airways flight at Chiang Mai airport, just before departure for Bangkok. “The whole plane was in chaos,” recounted Facebook user Ananya Tiangtae, a passenger on the flight, noting that officials promptly escorted the individual off the plane.
“What if we were 30,000 feet above sea level? What would happen?” Ananya pondered.
In a separate incident last year, a video surfaced on social media showing a man attempting to open the emergency hatch of a plane mid-flight in India.
The video, which quickly went viral, was shared on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
In the footage, passengers and cabin crew are seen restraining a 41-year-old individual named Debnath, who was seated near the emergency hatch on an IndiGo flight from Guwahati to Agartala.
According to an Indian news agency, fellow passengers attempted to intervene, but Debnath persisted in his efforts to open the hatch. Investigation revealed that the passenger was under the influence of narcotics. Authorities subsequently arrested him.
