Lonely Widower Seeks New Beginning Through Marriage
A 75-year-old man in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, died just one day after marrying a 35-year-old woman, leaving the village of Kuchhmuchh stunned and searching for answers.
The man, identified as Sangruram, had been living alone since the death of his first wife a year ago. Struggling with loneliness, he chose to remarry despite opposition from his family. On September 29, he tied the knot with Manbhavati, a mother of three from her previous marriage. The couple registered their marriage in court and performed simple rituals at a local temple.
Villagers recalled that Sangruram had long expressed his desire for companionship and had hoped to spend his remaining years with a caring partner.
Newlywed’s Sudden Death Raises Eyebrows
Tragically, just hours after the wedding, Sangruram’s health took a serious turn. By morning, he fell severely ill and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Doctors declared him dead shortly after arrival.
His new bride, Manbhavati, told locals they had spent the night talking and planning their future. She said Sangruram reassured her that he would support her and her children, while she would manage the home.
However, the unexpected timing of his death has sparked suspicion among family members and villagers. Although no foul play has been confirmed, relatives are questioning the circumstances.
Police have not yet launched a formal investigation but may do so if an official complaint is lodged by the family.
The incident has shocked the entire village, turning what was meant to be a new chapter of hope into a story of mystery and grief.
